Love in the Twilight Breeze

As she nears forty, Jiang Xiaoyu desperately seeks to save her daughter from leukemia by selling her eggs. By accident, she dials the number of hospital director Jin Hancheng, who, concerned for her well-being, pretends to scare her off from this dangerous path. However, fate has other plans as they unexpectedly share a passionate night together, resulting in an unplanned pregnancy. To support her unborn child, Jiang Xiaoyu takes a job at a nightclub, where she narrowly misses encountering Jin Hancheng several times and misunderstandings arise between them. Believing she has fallen into a life of depravity, Jin Hancheng remains unaware of her struggles. Meanwhile, Jiang Xiaoyu and her daughter are harassed and abused by her gambling ex-husband, leaving their lives hanging by a thread.
